What happens to your file, step by step

This page describes the system as it is built, not a generic promise. The privacy policy is the legal text; this is the mechanics.

  1. Upload

Your file travels encrypted (HTTPS) to a temporary store in Cloudflare R2, in Western Europe, under a random name. Files over 60 MB are uploaded in chunks to the same place.

  2. Processing

A GPU server in a European Union data centre (RunPod) fetches it with a signed single-use URL, processes it in memory and uploads the result. It starts for your job and shuts down a few seconds after finishing; it has no persistent disk.

  3. Deletion of the original

As soon as the job finishes, the file you uploaded is deleted from the temporary store.

  4. Result

The result and its reduced preview stay available for you to download. One hour after the download they are deleted automatically. If you never download it, it is deleted after 24 hours.

  5. What remains afterwards

A technical record of the job (random identifier, tool, options, sizes and GPU seconds) for 24 hours, and the hourly-limit counter, which uses your IP address and expires after one hour. Once billing is on, also the monthly free-download counter per IP. Nothing else.

What we do not do

  • Keep copies, thumbnails or a history of your files.
  • Train or fine-tune models on your images, videos or text.
  • Hand over or sell data to third parties.
  • Set tracking cookies or ads. We only use the browser's local storage to keep your credit codes, if you buy any.

How to check

The download link stops working one hour after you use it. The engine state is public on the Status page. If you want a technical detail that is not here, write to info@airpic.app.
